I have FINALLY managed to successfully redo my third AMV for Advent Children....the Neden Game.
That's right folks, I am fangirl gone wild! Now that I have a laptop, my windows movie maker works better and I redid the video and threw that baby up on youtube. Nothing shall stop me now! HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!

Okay, so it's been a year since my Reno obsession began and this weather is giving me flashbacks and I'm going ballistic. I feel like an addict who can't get their drugs....seriously, isn't there one fucking hot redhead in this world I can tear into?
That's it, I'm joining the fashion industry to declare bright red spikey hair and rumpled suits with unbuttoned shirts to be the new mens' look for 2008. And goggles. Yeah.
Or maybe I'll have to go into science and study genetics and take the dna from two parents with similar features to his and clone one. But then I'd have to find a method of delaying my aging process to wait until he turns 25 before I enslave him in my basement. But I guess that gets a little complicated. ::sigh::

Just because.
So, we remember Li and Reno, right? The couple who can't stop having sex long enough to use protection...
Well, they're up to seven children now. Ty, Phoenix, Faedra, Ethyn, Acer, Jetta, and Mecca. The eldest, Ty, went off to college to seek opportunities and women. Or women with opportunities. Ahem. Anyway, in his freshman year, he met an older chick, Rania, who was a senior, and he was lucky enough to score.
Though their relationship was fast and passionate, she was graduating soon and wasn't exactly known for having a monogamous nature. Luckily, she had a younger sister, Riki, who was a sophomore and a little gothy. At the end of Rania's semester, Ty and Riki were already making eyes at each other.
They started off just hanging around each other a lot, getting comfortable and making friends...
...but no sooner had Rania graduated then they were hooking up.
They stayed together all through college, and when Riki had to graduate, Ty proposed over breakfast in the dorms and she accepted. When she left, she picked out a nice house for them to live in, and after dating through his senior year, he finally graduated and was able to join her at home where they married.
several woohoos later... (my son's got quite a bod, huh?)
Li and Reno became grandparents! ::gasp!::
Her name is Mya and she can be a bit temperamental. But things were pretty good in general with the new family for a while.
As time went on, things began to seem routine. Mya made friends with a little elf girl and Ty started spending time over that house with Mya, making friends with her very pretty mom, who he restrained an attraction to. However, he did face a moment of weakness when he was out at a club (takes after his mum apparently) and met a randy college chick who hit on him shamelessly, but left before things got out of hand. Meanwhile, Riki started getting a roving eye herself, though nothing came out of it thus far. It was beginning to look a bit rocky for their marriage, but then they each found a new balance in their lives with new career choices. She joined the police force and he turned to a life of professional crime. Though it would seem as if that would break them up, it turned out to be the thing that put more spark in their marriage.
Unfortunately, in Mya's teen years, she somehow found out about her dad's small bout of infidelity and, although she still hasn't told her mom, fell into a terrible resentment of her father and cried every time she saw him kissing her mother. It took a lot of effort on his part to regain her friendship, and he is careful now about what he does in front of her. It will be no small relief to him when she goes off to college soon, but until then he puts in his time after work to talk things out with her.
Next episode: The fate of the twins!

10:15 pm - The Great Height Debate...

Okay. There has been a huge discrepancy amongst the fandom of Reno as to what his true height is. It would seem there is a split down the middle between those who say he is tall and lanky, about 6'1", and those who say he is small and scrawny, around 5'7".
So being the scatterbrained insane bastard child of nitwits, I decided to take the issue into my own hands (oh, if only!) and study up hard, scrutinizing the meager facts and clues that Square Enix has left us, because they were too dastardly selfish to give us an official stat.
They really have clammed up about anything solid regarding the Turks. Everyone else has last names and statistics, but they do not. (I even know blood types and birth dates, for fuck sake!)
Anyway, here are some facts that I have dug up since attaining an original copy of FFVII for PC. (and these are in the booklet that comes with the game)
Cloud Strife: 5'7" Cid Highwind: 5'8"
Tifa Lockheart: 5'4" Sephiroth: 6'1"
Vincent Valentine: 6'0" Yuffie Kisaragi: 5'2"
and online I found a site that stated Yazoo to be 6'1" and although it is unofficial, it is believable, considering he is basically a clone of Sephiroth and the tallest looking one of the three Remnants.
Now.....visual evidence....

right. Now on to the movie evidence.
It is equally hard to determine from the film because they liked getting so creative with their 'camera angles' so perspective has been warped in many of the scenes. I dug up what I could of the 'straight shots' for the closest way to determine, once and for all, how tall this fucker is or isn't.

In analyzing, we must also consider bad posture....
some shots with his partner, Rude (who we also have no confirmation on, though everyone agrees he is a 'big dude')

Well, there it is. All the clues I have gathered to reach my final conclusion and closing statement (aside from, by the way, the fact that Square Enix is too fucking inconsistant!)
Ladies and gentlemen of the Jury, the case of "Is Reno short or tall" has been decided, and I state that he is.......
neither.
I put him at about 5'9 or 5'10 ish, and depending on if you think that is short, then, okay, he's short. I have determined that those who think he is short see this perspective: he doesn't stand up straight, usually bends at the knees and is almost always seen with his large, intimidating partner who I put at about 6'3 or 6'4 and is therefore easily dwarfed.
Those who believe him to be tall, see him from the perspective when he's either: caught in an angle that raises his height; compared to Elena, the female Turk who is obviously tiny, (this is more common than you think) or seen alone in which case his slender form gives him the illusion of longer legs and a stretched appearance. They may also be overcompensating for the wild hair.
Either way you see it, ....I'd still sleep with him.

Okay, so Ethyn was growing up to be a sweet boy with a temperament unlike his older brother and sisters and exibited more of the asian features of his dad's lineage than any of the others.
Here's Reno with him when he was a little 'un.
Meanwhile, Ty was ready to go to college and the twins hit their teens.
Here they are in a last bonding moment before Ty went away, getting high on the bubble blower.
Here's the girls right before a day of shopping when they came home with clothes to make them look like floozies.
After Ty moved to college, Ethyn seemed to miss him. He didn't really have any close friends and Ty was the closest thing he had, though they never really bonded the way the girls did. So to occupy his time, he harassed his sisters. (All in good fun, of course) here he is starting a pillow fight with Faedra.
meanwhile, Reno and Li were having some difficulties finding time to woohoo without the kids busting in. Reno was really showing friskiness because it seemed whenever Li decided to take a bath, he had to come hang out in the bathroom. See?
 
So they took refuge in one place they figured the kids wouldn't look.
and guess what?
yep. Hence, Acer was conceived. (Well, hey, they did it a lot, sometimes you just run out of contraceptives)

Kay, I wore it. Here's a couple of picks in the hotel room that we took with my phone. There's one on Xtopher's phone that was taken at the convention center, but it won't let him send it to me for fuck sake.
 
You know, I looked at the list of people who had pre-registered right before we went and lo and behold there was a Gambit on the list. Unfortunately, I did not see him because there were about four or five thousand people at this thing and no, I'm not exaggerating, that's the number they were estimating.
A shitload of young people made up a high percentage of the population and so many people were dressed up it was like halloween in Salem. Pretty cool. I did see about six Renos but none of them made me hyperventilate. (Well, half of them were women) One was okay, he had the attitude thing going on but not his real hair. One did have his real hair that was pretty close, but he was a bit tall and not at all pretty.
::sigh::
There was a really hot Vincent Valentine, though. Couple of cool Clouds. A few Axels but none were really hot exept the one who performed in the Masquerade and kissed this other dude right onstage who was dressed like Demix (I think that's the name--he's another hottie from Kingdom Hearts 2) while they were grinding up with each other to the song 'Sexy Back' .....but I'll tell ya...that was definitely the highlight of the weekend. All the fangirls lost it in the auditorium. Man, I wish I had that on video.
There's not enough adults who play dress-up anymore.
Pretty depressing, really.

Okay, so I took some pictures of my Rogue costume thing that I've been gruelling over to wear to this convention. I don't know how well you can see because I took them in a mirror with my phone but.... just a sneak preview until I get a better picture of it.
 
 
anyway, it's dark olive green pleather and I got an x-men belt buckle that I put into it that makes it look more authentic. I wish you could see the boots better because they are spectacular (I didn't make those!) and they make me about 4 1/2 inches taller hahaha woot! (well the idea was to make my legs look longer so my hips don't look so big)
I dunno. I might chicken out in the end, the thing is so form fitting it leaves nothing to the imagination. We'll see.
Oh, and if there's a reasonably hot Reno there, you might read it in the headlines on Monday:

When last we left our unlikely family...
So my twin daughters turned out to be hyperactive and ran whenever they wanted to be somewhere, and Ty was calmer but social and things were fabulous.

Ty grew into a teen rather quickly. He's got his dad's good looks, I think, and his sister Phoenix looks a lot like him.
By the way, Clawdius is part of our household too. Here's me harassing him with love.
So the girls liked to do their homework in Ty's room and here they're getting help from mum and dad. (eesh that sounds weird)
So as swell as everything was, we decided that we were outgrowing the house and it was time to find the perfect place.
